Why NGO & Non-Profit ?

Asia is not only home to a wide variety of civil society organizations, but also to international organizations devoted to the common good. Yet, the NGO industry is nowhere near oversaturated, and you too can contribute to society by providing crucial input. A non-profit internship in Asia will surely give you the satisfaction to see the fruits of your labour.

Internship Tasks

Depending on your skills and interests, your placement might be in a local or international organization focusing on one or more of the following: health, environment, poverty, gender equality, community, animal welfare, education – you name it. Conducting an NGO internship is a unique and satisfying opportunity to liaise with various actors and gain an invaluable skill set while doing the right thing. By undertaking an NGO & Non-Profit internship in Asia, you will apply your knowledge and skills where they are needed most, while gaining hands-on experience and demonstrating that you take responsibilities as a world citizen.
Here are some examples of tasks you could be asked to carry out:

  • Assisting co-workers with office and administrative work
  • Supervising community programmes
  • Assisting rescue teams on-site following natural disasters

  • Entertaining children at emergency shelters
  • Organizing charity campaigns and liaising with potential donors
  • Going on site after a disaster to look for victims who haven’t been evacuated yet

The list above only shows examples of tasks our previous interns have been involved in. Internship tasks may vary greatly from intern to intern and the respective host company.
Note that you will be given a personal supervisor during your internship, who will train and guide you throughout your journey.
