Why Education ?

Working in a primary, secondary, or higher educational institution, the role of an Education intern is to assist local teachers and promote learning within a community. As part of an education team, you too will tutor students and their family, help them develop their curriculum, and assist local teachers to plan classroom sessions as well as educational activities.

Internship Tasks

An international education internship will give you the unique opportunity to gain confidence as well as professional and multicultural experience, which can help aspiring teachers prepare to meet the demands of the 21st-century classroom. You will not only shape tomorrow’s minds, but also genuinely benefit from the experience of your co-workers. You will work under experienced teachers and get feedback on your teaching skills to improve them. On top of that, you will be exposed to a different classroom culture and different methodologies. Combined with the ones you have already acquired, your new skills will help you become a successful and beloved educator.
Here are some examples of tasks you could be asked to carry out:

  • Planning and preparing lessons
  • Reviewing lesson content and developing lesson and unit plans
  • Organizing and assisting with outside classroom activities

  • Assisting mentor teachers, administrators, and the school personnel with various tasks
  • Teaching classes and checking students’ comprehension
  • Developing strategies for content assessment in line with the school curriculum and standards

The list above only shows examples of tasks our previous interns have been involved in. Internship tasks may vary greatly from intern to intern depending on the respective host company.
Note that you will be given a personal supervisor during your internship, who will train and guide you throughout your journey.
