What if unexpected things happen that affect your travel plans? Sometimes in life, unforeseen things can happen that are outside of our control. We, at Meiji, are aware of this problem and have come up with a solution to help our students: Lifetime Credit.
What is Lifetime Credit?
Lifetime Credit allows you to apply all your program fees received by us to be credited towards any of our other programs at a future date, including our Virtual Internship Program and/or any in-person internship program. You will be able to postpone your internship and/or change your destination, without losing any of your program fees paid. We are committed to supporting you to realize your full potential with Meiji Internships and help you succeed in your international career.
FAQ
I enrolled for my internship for a future date, but it got suspended. What does this mean?
Don’t worry! You are guaranteed lifetime credit for the fees we received from you, meaning you can apply your credits towards any of our programs at an agreed date in the future.
I already started my internship, but it got suspended halfway through. What does this mean?
You have a lifetime credit for every complete week you have missed. For example, if you had a 10-week internship and it was suspended in the middle of your third week, you would have a lifetime credit for 7 remaining weeks you can apply to any of our programs at an agreed date in the future.
I started my internship but left early because I was worried about the COVID-19 crisis. What does this mean for me?
You have a lifetime credit for every complete week you have missed.
I won’t be able to do any program Meiji Internships offers in the future. Can I get a refund?
We offer a wide variety of programs and placements for candidates at all stages of their academic and professional career, gap year applicants to young professionals in their late twenties. Therefore, you can still transfer your lifetime credit to a friend or family member. However, because Meiji Internships must pay a range of expenses arising from your program application, even if you change your plans and don’t participate, we cannot give any refund for programs that have already started.
I want to change my internship dates and destination. Do I benefit from Lifetime Credit?
Yes, if you have not been placed with a Host Company already and/or your request is made at least 60 days prior to your program start date, you are eligible for lifetime credit.* However, if you have been placed with a Host Company already and/or your start date is less than 60 days, we may have to apply an alteration fee that may account for up to 30% of your internship package.
