Why Singapore
There is no place like Singapore! Located just off the southern tip of Malaysia, this vibrant city-state is a melting pot of different cultures. Where else could you get breakfast at Little India, marvel at the temples of Chinatown and then dig into a delicious Malaysian Chicken Satay while watching the majestic Gardens by the Bay?
Capitalising on its cultural diversity, Singapore has been in the top ten list of the most visited cities in the world for years. An abundance of world-class, affordable attractions are emerging on a regular basis, the “Lion City“ has something to satisfy every visitor’s wish: delicious food, a vibrant cultural life, world-class shopping malls, lively nightlife, numerous green oases, efficient public transport, and so much more!
Unlike any city in the world, Singapore has it all merging old and new architecture, as well as dining options that range from mouth-watering affordable hawker fare to high-priced Michelin, starred haute cuisine. Singaporean food is definitely “die, die, must try“ – the Singlish term for “to die for.“
And with more than 50 % of its area covered by greenery, Singapore’s concrete jungles are giving way to an enchanting garden city!
Still, Singapore is much more than the sum of its numerous attractions: It is constantly evolving, reinventing, and improving, with people who are passionate about creating new possibilities.
It is the ideal choice for explorers, shopaholics, artists, foodies, workaholics, and visionaries alike – to improve, discover, and to make new experiences every day.
Internship in Singapore
Do you want to intern in the right place at the right time? Then Singapore is the place to be!
Since receiving its independence from Great Britain, Singapore has become one of the world’s most prosperous, globalised countries and boasts the world’s busiest port. With one of the most stable economies and numerous career opportunities in a wide range of fields, it becomes clear why the city-state is a top work abroad destination.
In today’s competitive job market, you will find no better way to stand out from the crowd. Meeting experienced experts, building valuable work experience, and adopting parts of the Singaporean work mentality will be a clear asset for your future working life.
Don’t be fooled by its size! As one of the four “Asian Tiger“ economies and one of the world’s leading economic centres in shipping and banking, Singapore is a perfect match for anyone seeking a Trading and Logistics or International Finance internship. With a history deeply rooted in trade and commerce, Singapore also has a strong presence in the service and manufacturing sector – perfect for a business-oriented internship.
But there is no shortage of other internship opportunities either: With a population of only five million, and dropping fertility rates, Singapore is eager to acquire foreign talent in every sector to boost the country’s economy.
As Singapore is rated #1 as the best labor force in the world, interns will feel right at home. Besides, adaption comes easy. If you are a native or proficient English speaker, you will have no trouble communicating, as it is the official language of business and education.
Interns can expect to get a head start on working in Singapore’s flourishing economy while enjoying the benefits of staying in a diverse and colourful community with easy access to the surrounding countries like Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia.
One thing is certain: The Lion City’s roar will surely echo for a long time, not only leaving positive effects on Singapore, but also on you and your CV.
